Less is more - how we squeezed our working week and improved in every aspect
"No way, we have so much to do, we'll never get it done on time" - This was the immediate response Segev received when he first presented the idea of the 4-day workweek to his team.

A year later, they made an extensive experiment in which the Sage Israeli R&D hub adapted the 4-day workweek, Segev offers his perspective on measuring results rather than time, increasing team engagement, reducing stress, and finding the true balance between work and life while delivering without compromises.

Segev Baron is a Senior Director of Engineering at Sage and leads Sage’s Israeli R&D hub, which builds modern AI-driven tools for financial automation and analysis.

The value in VSM and how to stop wasting your time
The Value Stream Mapping (VSM) process is a powerful tool that can help you to identify and eliminate waste in your organization's processes. VSM can help you to deliver faster results by identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities. In addition, VSM can help you to improve communication and collaboration among team members, as well as improve your understanding of the end-to-end process. In this session we will learn the basics of the VSM methodology and showcase how we, as an R&D group, used it to improve our processes.
Yuval Koren is an R&D Director at MicroFocus with 15 years' experience making software in the field of Application Lifecycle Management, helping customers to manage their digital transformation. By leading MicroFocus new VSM methodology in recent years, Yuval has become an expert on Value Stream Optimization, implementing VSM capabilities into the company ValueEdge framework to help customers optimizing their processes.

With a background as an instructor in the I.A.F, and an Instructor at Hi-Tech Colledge, I have made many presentations during my carrier. More recenty, I am presenting and demoing the VSM methodology to customers all over the world, such as BMW, Hastings, Airbus.

The managers are not the problem. Upskill your business, the way to increase employee productivity.
How hard we work on recruiting. How much money and time is invested in finding, filtering, and even convincing suitable candidates and candidacies. All this, yet in today's market people leave and jump to another job easily. Is it all salary and conditions? How much of a person's decision to leave the organization is related to dealing with their manager?
In this talk Idan will speak about your opportunity to influence the company's performance.
Working according to core competencies generates higher productivity, allows a more correct movement of the tasks within the work processes, enables efficiency and effectiveness of the employees, which allows for higher engagement.

If you want your teams to be curious, you need to facilitate better
The goal of curiosity is to further one’s understanding, yet research shows that only about 5% of team members consider curiosity to be a skill that is valuable for organizations in the future*. Curiosity, “the strong desire to know or learn something” is what helps people seek achievement and further develop their mindsets. It invites feedback. In the context of an agile or Scrum Team, it’s what helps them improve their capabilities, identify customer satisfaction gaps and deliver values.
Agility is based on curiosity and it's an agilist’s superpower, yet it needs effective facilitation to be unlocked and nurtured in a team. In this talk, Patricia Kong explores how to use curiosity as the building block for growth. She shares how facilitation can help spark a curious culture in the organization and especially during the Scrum events with some tangible tips along the way.
Learning Points:
Why curiosity is a human characteristic that diminishes and how that can affect teams and organizations
Why the lack of curiosity in organizations is a sure way to maintain the status quo and reduces its ability to pivot quickly
How effective facilitation turns curiosity into action
